Quirky Journals 101

Pick from a large array of prepackaged journal materials! Some people may call them “Treasure Journals” or “Art Journals” or “Junk Journals”... they are what you make them to be!

  • Create a cover

  • Collect and prepare writing and/or decorative pages for within

  • Bind everything together

  • Add a closure (if desired)

Quirky Journal Decorative Item Deep Dives

These classes are appropriate for those that have either taken the basic class, have already made a journal and/or those that have purchased a premade journal before these classes. Everyone should bring a journal of some sort to these classes.

These classes vary each time to cover a variety of fun ways you can enhance your journals. The following list is to give you an idea of what MAY be covered in any given class. Feel free to talk to me ahead of time if you want more information about a particular date’s topic ahead of time.

  • Stickers, post cards, photos, magazine/book cut outs, etc

  • Dried or faux florals, faux wax seals

  • Windows, frames, and pen holders

  • Using junk mail

  • Paper clips, stitches, brads, buttons, and eyelets

  • Edges, edges, and more edge ideas!

  • Ruffles, ribbons, bows, charms, beads, dangles, and rat tails

  • Sewing/stitching (both hand and machine available)

  • Making covers

  • Decorating/altering covers (the one you’ve made, or one you’ve bought - I have options if you want to purchase from Quirky)
